Radio & TV Broadcast License International | annual digital license records for broadcasters
register@rtbl.org
Copyright Data

A front page for the broadcaster's rights data.

RTBL does not own client copyrights. RTBL records the data submitted by the broadcaster so partners and app platforms can identify the declared rights holder and where to send abuse or copyright questions.

01

Rights holder record

Name of the broadcaster, owner, company, or authorized rights holder connected to the channel.

02

Provider data

Platform provider name and stream/CDN provider name are stored with the broadcaster record.

03

Abuse routing

Abuse and rights claims can be routed to the broadcaster contact and RTBL abuse contact for record verification.

App platforms

Useful for iOS, Android, Roku, TV apps, and OTT platforms.

When an app platform asks for proof of ownership or content authorization, RTBL can provide a letter that confirms the broadcaster has an active RTBL record and has declared ownership or permission for the content it broadcasts.

Important wording

RTBL letters should say that RTBL records the broadcaster-submitted copyright and authorization data. The letter should not say that RTBL owns the content or grants copyright ownership.
